His improvisation is totally capturing.
And it's not just musical improvisation, but also improvisation with jokes, conversations, etc. during singing.
It's very interesting (insightful) to see how, with his childhood experience and experience as a black person, he can still express that kind of happiness.
Ya! Totally agree! Being a black person in that era was tough! He must've went through a lot.
