The legendary Tenor Saxophonist -- Sonny Rollins!!
Sonny Rollins, aged 77, is still creating amazing music up to date and has currently performed at Carnegie Hall on September 18, 2007 for his 50th Anniversary for his debut at Carnegie Hall 50 years ago!
I've studied this person in Jazz history class and ALSO saw him live recently at his concert in Vancouver! Amazing huh? Being able to see the legendary person live(as in concert, live) who you, usually, might only be able to see in history texts is totally amazing!

Sonny Rollins and Art Pepper are two jazzists who are audiophile's favorite. As an audiophile, I've Art Pepper's album "Art Pepper meets The Rhythm Section".
I don't have any Sonny's album, but I know one of his best album is "Way Out West". Do you have any other recommendation of his albums?
ah~ =) 識途老馬! Thanks for leaving a comment! ^^
Yes, "Way Out West" is one of Sonny's most recommended album! Although I don't have much of his albums also, but the albums "Saxophone Colossus" and "Tenor Madness" are one of those highly rated albums! Each album has one of the most known songs in them! "St.Thomas" is in the album Saxophone Colossus and "Tenor Madness" is in his Tenor Madness album. Both are written by Sonny!
